From an agent who’s been in the industry for more than 25 years, mastering lead conversion is the key to setting ourselves apart from the competition and achieving remarkable success.

Do you have a plan for the holiday season? Typically, Realtors slow down during the last month or so of the year. However, this time of year is a great opportunity for you during this market shift, so I want to encourage you to stay working! If your colleagues are going to slow down, you’ll find more opportunities, so consider doubling down your efforts.

All the great real estate coaches say that doubling down is the way to thrive in this shifting market. To get ahead, you’re going to have to work harder, and do twice as much as you used to so you can get the same success.

If you’re not going to jump back in during the holiday season and you purposefully slow down, there are a couple of things you can do to position yourself well for the future. First, invest in your sphere of influence (SOI). Call them, or maybe plan a special event for them. There’s a lot of fear and uncertainty out there, similar to when the pandemic started. Back then, it was important to invest in your SOI, just like it is now.

“You can still thrive in this shifting market.”

Second, start working on your plans for 2023. Top Realtors start their business plans in October or November of the year before to get ready for the coming one. If you don’t start until January or perhaps a month or two later, you’ll miss out, so get your business plan for 2023 in place today.

Third, design strategies for a declining market. We anticipate that the market will descend a bit more and then flatten out, so make sure that you have strategies for finding the must-act players, meaning the sellers that have to sell and the buyers that must buy. Again, go back to your SOI, the people who know and trust you.

It is my hope that whichever path you take, whether you’re going to double down or slow down, you’ll come up with a plan so that you’re positioned to have the best possible 2023. If you have any questions or need some help, call or email me anytime! I’d be happy to work with you, and I hope the rest of your 2022 goes well.
